Among our favorites things about whiskey—other than the warm glow that comes from drinking it—are the differences stemming from where various spirits were distilled and how they were aged. So, it’s with great pleasure we welcome aficionados representing distilleries from five different countries to Cask & Larder on Sunday, Oct. 9 for a four-course “Whiskeys of the World” Dinner. Our Executive Chef Scott Pizzo will collaborate with the whiskey reps to create a seasonal menu that pairs his signature dishes with their expertly crafted small batch whiskeys, including: Jim Beam Single Barrel (USA), Hibiki Harmony (Japan), Alberta Rye Dark Batch (Canada), Laphroaig Select Cask (Scotland), and Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey (Ireland).
The curated dinner will also feature a course-by-course breakdown of each whiskey and the process of determining which style of whiskey pairs best with ingredients from each dish.
